Yeti ASR-7 Frame 2009The premise behind the AS-R 7’s development was to create a trail bike with even more travel and descending capabilities than the 575 platform, and still be a capable climber.  Well, you have exactly that in the AS-R 7: 7″ of rear-wheel travel in a 7.5 lb package.  The main pivot location and leverage ratio make the as-r 7 an efficient pedaling machine.  But when gravity takes over, that’s when things get fun.The fully custom hydroformed tubeset enabled Yeti to optimize the weight-to-stiffness ratio of the frame.  With this frame it is possible to build a 29 lb complete 7″ travel bike.  Pair that with a tapered headtube, 12mm custom rear thru axle, swingarm mounted front derailleur, ISCG mount, gravity dropper cable routing, and an ultra stiff carbon dogbone, and you have your do-it-all bike equipped for tackling the accents and ripping down the descents.  With the AS-R 7 you have all the tools to take on whatever the trail throws at you, and not think twice about it.Complete bike image for illustration purposes only…this is a frame not a complete bike.  Several component packages are available to complement this frame into a complete bike.  Please see our custom build kits or contact one of our knowledgeable customer service representatives for options. The Azonic Recoil hub offers superior durability for aggressive applications.  Two versions are availible to suit your application.  The first is a standard 135mm spacing which includes thru axle conversion kit, thru axle(with axle nuts) and QR skewer.  This hub will work on QR frames as well as 12×135 thru axle frames.  The second is a deticated 12×150mm hub, designed for us on 150mm spaced frames.  4 oversized cartridge bearings 6 bolt IS disc mount 135mm spacing includes conversion, thru axle and qr skewer 150mm spacing does not come with axel, typically comes with frame not hub
